The weather outside is pretty cold now. Perfect night for chrismas carols and feeling all chrismas-sy, warm and fuzzy :)Anyway, I absolutely love this song ''Greensleeve'' in minor. It is also often played in the Dorian mode, but i didn't really like it. I like the story behind the origin of this song.According to sources from wiki, ''there is a persistent belief that Greensleeves was composed by Henry VIII for his lover and future queen consort Anne Boleyn. Boleyn allegedly rejected King Henry's attempts to seduce her and this rejection may be referred to in the song when the writer's love "cast me off discourteously". Makes me feel like watching the show '' The Tudor''. haha. It sounds really brillant on the harp :)
